Hi, I'm Elana, creator of XO Lanes, a health and wellness expert with over a decade of experience. I own Zen Lane Esthetics (at Seattle's Tangerine Spa Studio) and am a fitness instructor (Booty Barre, Yoga, Cycling, HIIT). Prior to that, I was the Spa Director at one of the largest Aveda Salon and Spas in the US and received a B.A. in Communication from University of Colorado.
Inspired by Friendship
In the summer of 2020, like many others, my wedding was postponed due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. I was heartbroken. But as I sat at home in pajamas on my now-canceled bachelorette weekend, a beautiful and mysterious wooden box arrived at my door.
When I untied the bow, the package exploded with love: thoughtful gifts, personalized notes, and the love of each of my girlfriends who would have celebrated the weekend with me.
The thoughtfulness and time they took to create such a wonderful gift—especially in the midst of working from home and taking care of children—blew me away.
I knew right away I wanted to bring that feeling to others too.
Built With Love
The name XO Lanes was inspired by my nickname “Lanes” given to me by my fiancé Matt, as well as my love for writing letters since I was a little girl (each of which seemed like magically sending a hug through the mail).
It is also a testament to the care and detail that goes into each of our gifts: beautiful cards for handwritten messages, sustainable handcrafted packaging, and stunning products recipients will actually be excited to use.
Shortly after making the commitment to build this business, Matt started his own woodworking company, Grizzly Woodworks, and we made the decision to offer a custom, handcrafted wooden box that mirrors the box that started it all.
Mom and Jack, I could not have done this without you. Thank you, love you! Lindsey, Leslie, Libby, Carly, and Laura, thank you, I love you, you’re my inspiration and I value your friendship everyday.
To Matt, my fiancé and love of my life, thank you for believing in this business, showing me compassion, kindness and the kind of love I never imagined could be true, each and everyday.
Cheers to celebrating the good, love and connections that make our hearts happy and souls smile.
